Blocked Drains

As common as a pig that likes mud - blocked drains are apart of life and almost everyone will encounter a blocked drain from time to time.

For the plumbing system to work pipes need to be clear with no blockages - this can be easily said than done. Drain blockages are one of the most common plumbing problems. Even for those that are diligent and do their upmost to ensure no foreign materials go down the drain, tree roots can still enter the pipe work and cause a block.

Armed with a water jetter, camera and locator I am on call to assist and solve the blocked drain issue. The extreme high pressure of the water jetter blasts a stream of water through the pipes and can often break down and clear out the blockage. This action also cleans out the rest of the pipe - an added maintenance bonus.

In times where the drain does not clear easily or the blocked drain is a frequent issue, I use the camera and locator. The camera feeds down the pipe work to identify the cause of the blockage, from the surface the locator receives a signal from the camera to pin point the exact location - this is especially good for locating tree roots which could then be dug up to prevent the consistent nature of the blocked drain.

As common as blocked drains are, it is a varied issue that has many solutions and preventative measures. Sometimes a quick fix isn’t always the best answer - I enjoy investing and problem solving blocked drains (as strange as it sounds) Give me a call to discuss should you have any queries or need assistance.
