Alternate Solutions

A good plumber… to me it’s having the complete knowledge of the “norm” - and the creativity, experience and skill-set to adapt to situations, find work arounds, solve abnormal plumbing issues… like pictured above.

In this image my family and I where camping off the grid. I painted large plumbing pipes black to attract the sun and warm the water and fixed the piped to my truck creating a portable, warm shower - It did the trick and did it well.

You may also notice near my licence plate another tap, this is connected to a pipe I also run underneath the tray of my truck, the water stays cooler and it is a more permanent fixture which I fill regularly. I use this tap to clean my hands and the kids sandy feet when there is not a tap nearby.

Creative solutions and problem solving keep the passion flowing. If you have a request that you think may be unachievable ask anyway, because if there is a way - I’ll try my darn hardest to find it! It doesn’t have to be relating to a house either.

For example; I’ve created a few beautifully crafted portable showers for tenants that would like to take their outdoor shower with them when the time come to move.

Another option is to pop into your local hardware or plumbing store such as Reece and ask the team working there. They talk to the community and hear stories of what has been tried that may be a little different - they are often up for a good chat too.

So ask away and enjoy your day!

Shane.
